On 06/18/2018, a water line repair  causing loss of line pressure to some residents has prompted the Kenova  Water System to issue a precautionary boil water notification to the residences in the area. The areas that are affected are as follows:

  • Any customers located on the 1500-1800 blocks of Oak St, Walnut St & Beach St.
  • Any customers located near these areas that have experienced low or absent water pressure on 06/18/2018.

Do not drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute and let it cool before using or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

What happened? What is being done? Kenova Water repair crews are repairing a line break that occurred on 05/30/18. We will notify customers when there is no longer a need to boil their water prior to consumption.  For more information, please contact 304-453-1571 or PO Box 268, Kenova, WV 25530.

General guidelines on ways to lesson the health risks are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1 (800) 426-4791.

This notice is being sent to you by the Kenova Municipal Water System.
